Keeping up with the tradition... The one consistent thing that has been happening these last few years, is that every year gets better. This was one of the best years of my flying career and it is due to all of my family, friends, peers, and students. I'm looking forward to what the next season has in store!

Well, what can I say? The flying season in the Midwest is winding down once again. Between starting a new flight school, getting typed on the PBY Catalina, and corporate trips, I'm surprised I remembered to take pictures. Thanks, John! Truth is - I'm moving the airplane to its new home for its new owner, and in the interim I get to toss the airplane around a bit. To my knowledge, the airplane has had it on for a number of years and the previous owner died.

Any other kind of landing is called a Crash.
You miss his point. A wheel landing in this context is on the main wheels of this tail wheel equipped aircraft. The other type of landing is a three point landing, which involves all wheels touching down together. Cheers!

I’ve got an MB 339 on Aerofly. I know it’s not the same but it’s been good watching you fly. Sadly Aerofly is the closest I’ll get to the real thing but it’s better than nothing. 😊

What’s the little red flashing light mean above your Engine monitoring System?
Part of the Engine Information System telling me that something is out of a preset tolerance. It stops flashing once you've acknowledged it. In that case the system was telling me the fuel flow was too high... which during takeoff you'd rather not know how much gas you're burning at that power setting. :)

My Dad trained in the PT19 and the Texan. He related that the "Texan" was a very difficult plane to fly and caused many fatalities...almost his and his instructors too.
